Privacy Policy

Praise (“Praise”, “we”, “us”) provides a platform for businesses (“workspace owners”, “you”) to collect, approve, and publish testimonials submitted by their customers. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled — for both workspace owners and the customers who submit testimonials through a Praise-powered link or widget.

Information we collect

From workspace owners (account holders):

• Account details: email address and password (stored securely, hashed, via Supabase Auth).
• Workspace details: business name, logo, and brand color you choose to add.
• Billing details: handled entirely by Paddle.com, our reseller of record — we store only your Paddle customer/subscription IDs and plan status, never your card number.

From testimonial submitters (your customers, via the public collection page):

• Name, and optionally company, role, and a photo, all provided voluntarily.
• Email address, if provided — used only for the workspace owner's reference and never shown on any public page or widget.
• The testimonial text and star rating submitted.
• IP address at submission time, used solely for spam/abuse prevention and rate limiting, and never displayed publicly.

How we use this information

• To operate the account, authenticate logins, and deliver the service.
• To let workspace owners review, approve, or reject testimonial submissions.
• To publish approved testimonials on the workspace's Wall of Love and embeddable widgets — using only name, role, company, rating, content, and photo, never email or IP.
• To process subscription payments through Paddle.
• To send transactional email (e.g. password resets) via Resend.
• To prevent spam and abuse of the public submission form.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run the product on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Resend (transactional email delivery) act as data processors on our instructions. Paddle.com acts as our reseller of record for subscription payments — it is the merchant of record for these transactions and processes your billing data under its own privacy policy. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose beyond providing their service to us.

Data retention

We retain account and testimonial data for as long as the workspace exists. If a workspace owner deletes a testimonial or campaign, the underlying data is permanently removed. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see “Your rights” below).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Workspace owners can manage most of this directly from the dashboard. Testimonial submitters who want a testimonial removed can contact the workspace owner directly, or reach us using the details below and we'll assist.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (via Supabase Auth session cookies). We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's privacy

Praise is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
